I am so pleased I did it and conquered my fears of camping alone up on a mountain! I've just returned from a 3 day hike in Lapland Sweden. I got lost day one, day two made it to the highest mountain station in Sweden (Låkta). It was very luxurious and cozy, I had a sauna and dried my wet shoes. I met lots of nice Swedes and had some real in depth conversations over dinner, day three returned to semi- civilization! 35km and around 2000m elevation gain. Haven't done anything like that before. I listened to myself and left northern Norway for this adventure after stressing about my final PhD exam preparations. I spent so much time alone walking up in the mountains but not once did I feel alone. When I felt myself rushing I checked in with myself and told myself to slow down and take in the present moment. I felt like I was just surviving up there. Such a good feeling to challenge myself and think about what matters. I love nature 🦋

Been really hard focusing on myself after learning about something tragic happening in my family. I’ve been so in my head that I haven’t wanted to do much of anything. Decided today to tap in because I’m just an emotional mess and I need a release. Tapping in for a slow burn💪🏽💃🏽

As someone who has tried so hard to be a weight lifter at the gym (I want to, but I go there and see all the men taking up the free weight area and just don't want to anymore lol) and that resistance has led to me going to the gym maybe twice a month and then feeling guilty about it the rest of the time for not making the most of my $50 a month membership, I did my FIRST EVER RPS class last night and just instantly fell in love. I know THIS is something I can do consistently and WILL show up for. And hey, I do hope to repair my relationship with the gym still 🩹

Hi everyone!

So, this is a bit of a vulnerable post for me as it feels silly so ask.

I recently had to stop doing Orangetheory because of lower back and sciatic nerve flare ups. I was in PT for 6 months last year. While I fully recovered, the flare ups kept happening because of the hard workouts and sitting so much for work (I’m a therapist). I finally had to call it.

Prior to that, I lifted pretty heavy or have been in HIIT classes on and off for years. My 38 years old knees are also saying, “Nah, girl.” 😵

While I’ve been a member of RPS for 2 years, I can honestly say this is the first time this is the only exercise I’m doing. With that being said, my brain keeps telling me I’m not doing enough. Since I’m not dripping in sweat or out of breath, it feels like it’s not doing enough. Needless to say, the inner dialogue gets pretty mean.

I wanted to ask if you pair RPS with anything else? Do you stack classes? How have you made this work FOR YOU?

I’d appreciate any feedback, encouragement, or feeling less alone in this. I feel so lost as I’m used to structure. ☹️

Thanks! 🪷

Hi Ruth!

I wanted to ask about how what Apple Watch settings your classes would best fall under?

I realize this is likely subjective but my brain won’t stop bothering me about it. I’ve been using the Pilates caterogy but that doesn’t feel like it accounts for slow paced classes, beat based, etc.

I appreciate any feedback!

Jenn 💕
