I was giggling so much watching Valentino's eye while you were lifting your hip up over his head 🤣 I really enjoyed this class, I Iike finding the correct form first and then adding the weight. I did my step ups a little higher on a low wooden coffee table, I liked this extra height (maybe three blocks high). I also liked the balancing bit, and my glutes really felt it during the kneeling hip bend with the weight. It's fun learning how using your own weight and pushing at your hip can also be very effective!

I love this! I also dip out of being consistent and get stuck in my own patterns, it's always such a good feeling when you get back into it. I do the same! Random parts of class come to mind when I'm sitting somewhere, often when I'm outside and I just start doing them and get into my own flow! Your walk looked beautiful ❤️

Just what I needed to get unstuck! Feeling the nice light headed feeling I always get after side back stretches. My neck/head muscles feel so good!

I also started dancing again later in life. If you have your mobility and flexibility I think you're well on your way! For me my hips really needed some attention, so my focus in RPS was there for dancing. Its good to always mix things up though, and work your powerhouse(s) - try the long RPS pilates workouts for strength. In contemporary there's a lot of rolling about on the floor so Ruth's floor work flow ones I think compliment dance classes, windmill study is a favourite for me!

This was a challenge, especially the abs bit! I really liked the staggered stance, it felt so stable while moving with weights. It was good coming back to the same lifts with slightly heavier weights. I was surprised I didn't drop the weight while throwing it from hand to hand! Loved that bit too! And the press-up finish on the chair!

Julie Brylinski thank you 💖

Jennifer Brizuela I'm glad you found what I said useful and I'm glad youve been able to work through many of these issues. We're always a work in progress! Since RPS I've stopped trying to fix myself but just be kind, that in itself is enough.

I used to spend all my days tensing my stomach thinking that that was normal! To keep it flat! I think this was left over from my gymnastics days! Now when I feel my body tensing I actively relax it! And I find myself doing a lot more breath work in my day, breathing out slowly also if I feel tense.

I like what you said about needs changing as we get older. This reminded me of the Buddhist idea that everything is in a state of impermenance. Nothing lasts forever, not even the things that feel stable. I think once we accept this idea life flows a little smoother.

It was! Now back to reality!

"such bad b behavior" 😂 love it.
