Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,My name is Kayla Caloca, and I recently married the love of my life on July 18, 2025. What was supposed to be a beautiful new chapter in our lives has quickly turned into a nightmare we never could have imagined.On September 25, 2025, our 2-bedroom apartment—where we were having some construction work done—caught fire. I saw sparks and went to check, but before I knew it, flames were everywhere. We lost everything in a matter of minutes. We were blessed to escape with our lives and are beyond grateful that our beloved cat survived, but we are now left with nothing but the clothes on our backs.Right now, we are staying with a family friend while we try to figure out our next steps.
