Somehow didn’t realize I’d finished the Hard + Soft experience yesterday so I decided to celebrate by doing this class today. It’s one I’ve done before, but not always with the weight (I usually do it at the office where I don’t have all my props.) The weight definitely added a lot, but it didn’t take away from the fun of this class! Feeling an amazing sweaty mess right now! (And yes, I did this class on a Wednesday.)

Just did the second half of this class after doing Twerk it Out (today’s Hard + Soft class) and man, am I glad I didn’t try to do this whole class yesterday. If I had, I probably wouldn’t have managed teaser 3 and that final plank. This is definitely a torture level abs class, but if you chunk it out and take breaks as needed (in my case a 23 hour break in between the first and second half 😂) your abs will feel strong as hell (and super sore the next morning). I did appreciate the sawing and stretching in the first part of the second half. So I guess it wasn’t all torture.

Yes, this class has lots of twerks, but it also takes lots of werk! Damn, am I a sweaty mess right now! Those pike twerks were fun, and got my heart rate all the way up. I did take periodic quick breaks because my wrists got sore, so I’d bounce up and down on my knees while circling my wrists in the air and then get right back into my pike twerks. My hips were WAY tighter than I realized, but they’re feeling amazing now. This class is an instant mood (and heart rate) boost!

I only had the capacity to do half this class today (I paused it after the bridging around the 15 minute mark.) But abs, abs was enough for me! I’d love to know what bad b’s requested this torture! Anyway, I’ll do the other half ( + more abs) tomorrow along with that day’s Hard+Soft class. This one def hit me hard! 😅

Yesterday’s walk photo (it was too hot in LA to walk during the day so I waited until sunset.) I love watching the sky shift from gold to blue to dark blue. It was completely dark by the time my walk was done.

I love how this class packs a punch in under 10 minutes. I used my Bala ring for this too and it worked perfectly. Adding this to my favorite weights classes.

When Ruth said, “Isn’t that lovely?” I may or may not have cussed her out haha. My glutes and outer thighs are on fire right now, but I made it through. I tried keeping both hands behind my head as much as possible, but eventually the wobbles (and pain) got the best of me, so I used one arm to keep me propped up and rested on the other one. I’ll definitely be feeling this one tomorrow!

I love how this class warms your body up and makes you feel good all over. I had fun getting into a flow state and holding certain positions for a bit longer if it felt particularly good. Plus, windmilling is fun!
