Day 13 โœ… below + power abs. Some reflections from halfway thru this journey:

โ€ข Remarkable increase in neck and wrist strength!

โ€ข Hard things on and off the mat (daily life) are being done with more ease, showing up daily feels routine (yay) but also still a conscious choice

โ€ข Making that choice every day helps me remember that I can also choose how I show up in other aspects of my life, higher sense of agency and control over myself rather than feeling helpless

โ€ข Endorphins are helping my mood / mental health stay level

โ€ข Noticing a level of consistency in self care across all avenues in my life that I honestly havenโ€™t had in years. I am still rewiring my brain and habits after leaving my SF tech career 5 months ago, recovering from years of compound burnout. Iโ€™m amazed at how much positive change can happen in just 2 weeks ๐Ÿ’•

Day 12 โœ… this one had a healthy dose of torture but was very fun and a great sense of accomplishment by the end! Abs were ON lol.

I challenged myself to start waking up earlier and getting my workout in at the start of my day (I can do this during follicular, very hard during luteal), having that personal time sets me up so much better for the day esp before I start teaching. A couple pics from a very lovely morning.

Tapping in for Day 11 โœ… abs + booty along with the below, which was so nice for opening my thoracic spine, can literally breathe better lol. We had an iconic sunset purple theme tonight (romanticized my workout in the living room inspired by luna elise โ˜บ๏ธ), winter sunsets are so good it almost makes the cold worth it ๐Ÿฅถ.

Tapping in from the laundromat ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ a big win for me. Daily challenging movement is overflowing into the rest of my life with capacity and problem solving to do hard things. Laundry is one of those things for me !!

Since my career switch (corporate marketing job before + teaching Pilates part time, now teaching Pilates exclusively!) 3 months ago, my husband also got a new job back in office full time. We have had a complete role reversal, I now do most domestic household errands/chores/cooking etc after 2 years of him doing it since he was WFH with a flexible schedule. Itโ€™s been a task finding my household groove/routine but Iโ€™m getting there.

Tbh I love most domestic duties, except laundry. But I dialed in, packed my doggo into the car, took him with me and on a lil adventure during the wash cycle, now finishing up drying while I read. This new routine made me way happier than I expected.

Day 9 โœ… rough day, but so glad I showed up because this turned out to be one of the best parts of my day. Def recommend this video โฌ‡๏ธ

Upped my dumbbell weight choice since doing this a couple weeks ago and loved it! Yay for progressive overload and getting stronger ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

Also, didnt know I needed the lower body stretches so much ๐Ÿฅฒ last time, they felt good, but today were a huge emotional release as well ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ

Day 7 โœ… โ€œplanksgivingโ€ the day after thanksgiving was very difficult to execute with my distended center of gravity ๐Ÿ˜‚ my best today was maybe 50% effort but we got it done, and I still enjoyed it.

We also had I think the first โ€œRelaxโ€ video of the challenge as well and man did I need that. ๐Ÿ’š

Day 6 โœ… tapping in from the bi-annual family reunion lol! We are in Carmel for 3 days. So nice to be on a little vacation and take this challenge with me, including my magic circle and 8 lb weights ๐Ÿ˜‚

If you ever need a cardio & muscle boost, would recommend day 6 of the challenge. This + stretchiit.

Day 5 โœ… this + swakate arms

I usually stop half way to check how long is left lol. And then decide I can do anything for 20-30 minutes, right? ๐Ÿ˜…

My personal goal is completion rather than perfection, however I get there.
