Jennifer Brizuela I get you! I used to be incredibly active. Training every day for many years, carried on from childhood - that's all I did. As an adult every time I was stressed I would start running and not stop until I'd at least done half marathon. My legs aren't even built well for running. I used to be addicted to exercise and lost so much weight. It was a coping strategy really (didn't know it then). Then I plunged into doing nothing when I moved to an environment that didn't suit my previous active lifestyle (lots of snow and cold!) and my body started to fall apart from inactivity, as I fell into a depression, and I felt so lost. After finding RPS I've slowly rebuilt in a healthier way. Some days my addictive exercising comes back and I do class after class, wanting more and more! I recognise what I am doing and tell myself it's ok now and again to go crazy! I love following the weekly schedule because I think it really has been carefully crafted and I really do feel the benefits, it stops me going over the top! I treat the classes as more of a gentle exercise of the mind, being kind to myself has made me so much healthier ❤️🩹 we aren't actually made for doing SO much exercise. We are around the same age, and now my focus is on keeping my muscle mass up for my older years, and keeping some fat! It's beneficial for your hormones, so I have read! Hope this helps a bit.
