Loved this one! I switched between my 3 lb weight and a (new) 7 lb weight and it was the perfect level of difficulty. Did my pushups at the wall, but was able to stand back way further than I used to, with no wrist/shoulder pain 🥳 I can already tell this is going to be a go to feel good upper body class that I come back to often 💜🦋

I improvised the hell out of this one because I’m sore all over from yesterday… loved the ab work and twists, ain’t no way those bridges were happening for me today but that’s ok 🤣 I swapped for some classical Pilates moves that felt better and still got a great quick workout 🥰💜🦋

So many thoughts today!!

1) first off, I used 3 lb weights + 2 lb wrist weights for all the movements and got through 6 rounds total. Blown away by this!! I probably could’ve gone heavier for the arm exercises but for simplicity I chose to go lighter so I could use the same weights for all exercises without overloading my legs. Also forgot we were supposed to be doing one arm at a time for the chest press so I did double for those 🙈

2) I’ve been so sick all year so far but I’m finally feeling better so this was my first class of the year (🥳) after 3 weeks off for the holidays/illness. Years ago I would’ve felt so bad about taking so much time off, but this year I came back guilt free and am amazed at how much strength I kept from my work last year. Turns out taking time to rest won’t destroy your progress, who knew 😂 forever grateful for this mindset shift RPS helped me achieve.

3) I’m a broken record at this point but I can’t believe I did six rounds of squats with 5 lbs per hand. Weights classes changed the game for me the past few years so I can’t wait for the rest of this challenge. I used to not be able to do a single squat and look at me now 😭my legs feel like jello but I feel amazing. can’t wait to see where I end up by the end of this challenge. One of my goals for the year is to increase the number of steps I can do without foot/knee pain - i used to have foot/knee pain at 3-4K, after a year of RPS I did 10k steps/day on my vacation this past year pain free (HUGE for me), id like to be able to hit 15-20k this year (going to Japan for our honeymoon in November and I’d cry happy tears if I could do all the walking I want to without pain 😭I think I can do it 💪🏻)

Sorry for the rambles, full of gratitude today and excited to be back! 🥰💜🦋

Merry Christmas to all the Bad Bs who celebrate! 🎄💜 cackling at my Christmas gifts this year because my whole family knows how much I love RPS - my gifts this year included wrapping paper with Santa doing Pilates, a Pilates Xmas tshirt, and a note from my partner that he’s going to pay for my annual subscription this year 😭 feeling grateful for both my family and RPS - thank you Ruth Brenza for keeping me moving all year this year (and looking forward to next year too!) 🥰

I think Ive somehow managed to not take a triptych style class until today?? Idk how that happened but I loved this. This is a new fav for sure. The past week has been killer and this was a gorg way to come back to movement 💜

I was way too overzealous picking this today and my body was not having it 😂 I did the first couple ab moves and then basically just stretched for the rest of the class. But! This means I was on my mat moving for 25 min (even if it wasn’t the planned movement) so counting that as a win 😊 I do want to come back and try this class on a day when I’m less sore/tired because it seemed like a good one!

Instant favorite, this class felt amazing! I’m proud I can do all my upper body work with two three pound weights now which is amazing for me 🥹

I only made it through a bit of this class today as I am exhausted and not feeling my best but the shoulder movements were perfect and I feel glad I got moving, if only for a little bit 😊

Woke up at 5 this morning with horrible sciatic pain 😩 it doesn’t happen to me often but every now and then it will flare up if I’ve been working too much (and therefore sitting too much, oops) couldn’t sleep so I got up and took this class and I’m already feeling so much better. So empowering to have tools at my disposal for times like this 💜

Thank you, Ruth!! It was a silly moment but it also meant so much to me 🥹 Will absolutely be giving thanks for you and RPS this season 💜
