This is a fantastic evening stretch.  I just got back from 10 days of travel and am developing a cold so didn't want to do too much but also really needed to get some stretching in and this was perfect

I have such a love/hate relationship with animal flows.   I love how they challenge my brain and feel natural at the same time, but HATE how hard those flows are on my wrists.  It's such a struggle!

The combination of music and slow movement really puts you in a meditative state...at least it does me.  I was still cursing and swearing, but with more chill😂

Those swan twists were glorious.  I'll have to remember them for when my upper back is tight cause I feel like I just went to the chiropractor

I used a 15 lb  kettlebell and it was perfect for this.  Another one for the faves vault

I love these short, focused sessions.  The calf stretch at the end was such a strange sensation.  Stretching while also maintaining balance.  Such a push-pull vibe with my body.  I imagine this is as good for your brain and focus as it is for your body.

Oh this was so nice.  I did this right before bed and it really worked out all the kinks from the day while also setting me up for nice, deep sleep

This felt like very functional movement to me.  I was thinking while I was  completing some of the moves how well this routine would support my daily functioning if I made a regular practice of it.   And it's so short and sweet that practicing daily wouldn't even be difficult to to squeeze in.  I think I'll experiment with that this week and see how I feel at the end.  (no promises.  I get bored easily doing the exact same thing over and over)

hmm...  a lot of ruth's classes have a somatic element that are pretty cathartic. Anthing Beat-based is good for this, I think (try 'recession pop beats' or 'one day beats'.  If you want something more chill, I would go with any of the pilates ones to get your body feeling stronger and more resilient. Or even try the 'heavyish weights' category.

If you are an uncoordinated mess like me, just remember to be easy on yourself and freestyle it out when you can't always get the moves down :)  and definitely laugh at yourself.    'One day beats' had me feeling ridiculous but I loved every single minute of it and it was such a release.  Totally worth it.

There's a category for 'under the weather' that has some goodies in it

Oh!  and when I'm feeling heavy and down, I generally go with shorter classes.  It's just easier to tell myself I only have to push through 15 mins and I always feel so much better after.

Valentino growling gave me life😂  another one i feel like a really have to return to cause some of those moves are so uncomfortable and leave my shaky but I know where that's where the growth lies.
