Thanks so much for asking for help here. I want to echo what Leila and Mika have both said! And remind you that it’s actually completely normal for your brain to be resistant to something when it hasn’t done it for a long while. The longer you wait, the more you’ll feel that resistance. Our bodies are still hard wired to conserve energy for survival and unfortunately it’s not very helpful to our modern day lives. But I hope that helps you take some of the blame off yourself! It is worth accepting that it’s gonna suck a bit at first. It’s a bit like ripping off the bandaid. Start with a couple of moves or class styles that feel the least horrible. I heard this trick for habit building. Give yourself 5 minutes and actually stop after five. Do this for two weeks daily. By the time you hit the third week, you’ll be wanting to do more than five intensely! Keep us posted how it’s going 🦋
