Just completed some Chappell Roan beats and wow do I feel brand new!! This was seriously such a great pick-me-up to how my whole body was feeling🥹

Lately I've only been following a posture program bc physical therapy was hurting more than helping (it's a very old injury😅) and then adding the days using the 30 minute walks. But I was called to get a sweat going, everything in my body was feeling stagnant and heavy! Blahg!! Now I feel some movement happening... gosh I missed these videos. Never taking a month off again 😭😂

So I realized I’m coming up on one year since I joined RPS and I never really noticed the changes in my body. I felt them, but I didn’t notice them because it’s not like they were ever really pointed out to me, but I continued my practice. I continued my movement and I decided to look for a picture from a year ago. Even though the changes are small, it’s amazing to actually be able to see them and continue with my movement. This has been the first program that I’ve actually been able to stick with, and I am so excited to see what the new year brings. Happy New Year everyone 🤗🤗🤗

Tapped in 💪🏽💃🏽 Nothing like twerking away the negativity that’s been floating around my brain these last few days. Ruth your classes are the best emotional release outside of therapy and I’m blessed you’re such an awesome instructor 🫶🏼💕🫶🏼

tapping in + a question for the bad b’s! 🐝

i did some pelvic floor love and floorwork today!

it felt nice to move my body, but i have this lingering thought that imperfections in my movements equal wasted effort which means im not getting stronger.

following new video’s everyday feels fun, but sticking to certain videos allow me to “perfect” moves and measure my progress. i know perfection isnt real but, there is safety in knowing whats coming next (which ik can keep me in a bind) and being able to connect more with each movement. versus, when i do new moves im confused and clumsy and i feel like im not engaging the right muscles, which signals to me that im wasting my time and harming my body.

does anyone have any ideas on how to balance the two? or any advice? id love to hear!

thank you 🧡✨

Tapping in 🐸

Took a 30 min run/walk uphill with my buddy as well, back on my “get warm / need endorphins” BS ☃️ haven’t ran in a while, accepted the suckyness to start lol, but of course it worked, great payoff! Ready!

Hi Bad b’s! Wanted to share my dumbbells acquired off Craigslist today 🤗 and a little story.

Had been in the market for heavier than 15 lbs. I’m so excited to have these bc they can scale from 10lbs - 30lbs each depending on the amount of plates. $35 for effectively 3 different sets! And can also use just the plates for other weighted exercises.

I got them from a man named Oscar. He has been lifting since he was 17. Looked like he was 40. Shocked to learn he will be turning 60 soon and retiring! Walked out carrying these like they were nothing. Told us he used to curl 100lb dumbbells. 😆

He has won many comps as a weightlifter and in martial arts. His 2 boys won national and global awards in wrestling & judo. I imagine these dumbbells have been through a lot with him and his children. He still wrestles and lifts with them today, they are adults and he has 3 grandkids now. The fitness community is so wonderful! He was still so full of passion, mobility, zest for life, and whenever I meet someone like him, I tell them they are my goals for how I want to age.

I feel like these dumbbells have been anointed with his impeccable vibes, very excited to use them for the upcoming strength program! There is so much amazing secondhand fitness equipment, would def recommend Craigslist or FB marketplace if you’re looking for anything. :)
