Day 27 βœ… ngl I wanted to quit today, maybe it’s a bit of self sabotage. With only 3 days left?! Girl please. Turned over a new leaf πŸ‚ and that was such a joy. This class showed me new things I was capable of! And the stretches were so yummy, just what my body needed. Felt equal parts [challenging strengthening] + [stretching], what a treat πŸ’–

today i asked myself: what would bring me joy? and one of the first things that popped into my head was RPS.

so, this morning i did camel flow, in an attempt to ease some neck and back stiffness that comes from writing a ton of papers for finals week. .

also during this down time ive been reading a ton about intutive eating/living/movement content and stumbled upon a great book called β€œletting go of leo”. it’s a light read, i started it last night and am about 50% through it. i recommend it for those who struggle with perfectionism and with listening to their body. i would say it has some tough topics like food issues and body image issues, so if youre not in a place to read about things like that, i’d skip it for now!

anyways, i miss reading everyone’s posts - i truly hope everyone is doing well and finding pockets of joy and laughter.

I just wanted to share a reminder that you actually are really great just the way you are.

As we approach the new year and corporations continue to deploy marketing tactics disguised as self improvement that are actually designed to target and prey on on our insecurities (all for their own financial gain)β€”I just want these words to be in your mind. You are great exactly as you are.

Negative thinking is a part of the human condition. We can’t force past it, we have to acknowledge then try our best to manage as best we can. Wanting to improve yourself is awesome. Radically accepting exactly who you are is perhaps even more awesome.

Love you all, really mean it. Thank you for being here. When I begin to spiral into my own negative thoughts I feel so much gratitude being able to come here and read your words. It means so much to me. πŸ¦‹

Day 25 βœ… Loved this one! Very fun using weights for these moves. I did it a bit heavier w 8 lb dumbbells, got me to failure quicker with less reps; felt so good and grounding for my bones & nervous system using heavier weights.

Holidays come with grief for me (though I love this festive time of year). Looking forward to the joy of completing these 30 days, knowing I carried myself through this challenge, and, it carried me. πŸ₯²
