I was slammed at work all day today with back to back meetings and I worried I wouldn’t have time to get a walk in, but when I got home in the evening, I went on a nice long walk while catching up with one of my friends I hadn’t talked to in awhile. Nothing beats a good walk and talk to get those steps in!

Damn. Between yesterday’s class and this one, I am beat! My 30 lb kettlebell came in super handy for those kettlebell swings and also worked amazingly for the single leg deadlifts. It helped me balance so I didn’t need the wall. Used my 12lb handweights for most of the other moves except for the ab part where I used a 5lb weight. Anyone else feel this weird burst of energy/excitement after finishing each muscle mami class? Like even when I’m covered in sweat and exhausted lying on the floor at the end, by the time I get in the shower I am beaming and ready to take on the world. 💪🏻✨💫

Covered in sweat right now. I tried doing the first move with my 30lb kettlebell for the first set, but switched to two 12 lb handweights for the others. I only managed to get 10 reps in with the 30lb of that first move because it was HARD! I got more like 14 reps when I switched to 12lbs but still a big challenge. I kept my elbows slightly bent the whole time. I loved doing those hinge squats with the chair because I was able to get my form down a lot better that way and could make sure I was hinging back towards my butt as if I was about to sit. I was shaking like crazy during those 10 second swings. I used my two 12 lb weights for the second move too. And for the final move, I went down on the mat instead of leaning against a chair since I found it uncomfortable on my shoulders on the chair. Still kicked my butt doing it on the mat with my hips up. Used a 12lb weight and those shoulder presses really had me sweating by the end. I made sure to say, “I’m a bad b” a lot louder the second time so Valentino could hear me. Now I’m drenched in sweat and ready to hop in the shower!

Can’t think of a better way to celebrate my 150-Day RPS streak badge than with this class. The first time I ever did this class, I didn’t know a single Chappell Roan song. Now, I belt out the lyrics to every song and can do all the choreo without watching Ruth. It’s my go to feel good beat based class that I’ve probably done more than any class on this app. I always feel so happy and free when I do it. 💃🏼💕

After finishing my 10,000 steps today and pressing play on this video, I finally got the RPS 150 day steak badge!! 🎉 Looks like Ruth better make a 200 day badge now 😂

I feel like I need to do an actual class today too since I don’t want to hit this milestone with a walk… so maybe I’ll do Chappell Roan Beats when I get home to celebrate.

Give me a minute because I am WINDED! 😮‍💨 That AMRAP pushed me good. I was able to do:

- 5 sets of hammer curls with two 12 lb hand weights

-4 sets of overhead presses with two 12 lb hand weights

- 4 sets of hip thrusts— 3 with my 30lb soft kettlebell and the last one with my two 12lb handweights

- 4 sets of step ups— 3 holding my 30lb kettlebell with the opposite hand using my same side hand for stability on the wall and 1 final set holding a 12lb handweight in my same side hand

I found it challenging to get the hip thrusts to work for me with the folding chair I was using, so I just used my hands behind me on the mat to prop me up and sort of rested part of my shoulders a bit on the chair for stability as needed. I’m a sweaty mess right now but feeling strong AF!! 💪🏻🙌🏻💦

Also one of my favorite classes to do when I don’t have the time (or energy) for much else after a long day of work.

The glutes are gonna be feeling this class tomorrow for sure! 🍑🔥 I used my 30lb kettlebell (which is a soft kettlebell filled with sand and actually worked quite well in this class) for most of the moves, except for the donkey kicks since I couldn’t figure out a way to get it behind my kneee and stay in place. But even with my 12lb handweight doing those kicks I could feel it burn, especially with those holds at the end. I’m a bad b muscle mami!!! 💪🏻
