This felt really good on my hips and I liked the bowl as a teaching tool. Favorite part was when Ruth couldn’t think of the word mixer and said something like “you know that baking tool.” 😂

One of my top 5 go to classes to do at the office. It packs a punch in under 15 minutes, works your entire body, and requires no props (not even a mat.) It almost always leaves me sore the next day, but I love that feeling.

Hi Madison! Sending you all my love from Los Angeles (btw I love Whidbey Island, but not sure which island in WA you’re on.) You have gone through a lot lately so I hope RPS gives you the movement medicine you need to start the healing process and work through the grief, stress and anxiety that these changes are bringing to your life. I know it has for me. 🫶🏻

The most important part of any movement practice is consistency. For the longest time I couldn’t do more than 5 minutes of some classes, but just getting into the habit of moving made me start to crave movement more and more and my body got stronger as I did it. So kudos to you for pressing play and also knowing your limits. This is one of my favorite classes, so I hope you revisit it again. 😊

First, just a heads up to all the bad b’s like me who usually get their mat/ props set up during the little intro in the beginning of the class, this class has no intro. Ruth just gets right into it, so have your mat ready ahead of time. Ok, back to my comment,I love rediscovering all the Beat Based classes I haven’t done since RPS switched to the new app. The playlist in this class is a lot of fun, and it reminds me of the music Ruth would play when I used to take studio classes with her. It’s the perfect mix of cardio, Sensulates and stretching. Most of it’s on the floor, which is why I haven’t don’t this class in awhile (I tend to take more standing beat based classes) but I wanted to get down on my mat today. Such a fun class that I plan to come back too again and again when I want some mat time and a short bit of cardio.

I have been on an MCR kick lately so knew I needed to do this class again. Such a great way to get my angst out while also saying, “I love you” to my teenage self. 🤘🏻🫶🏻

One of my favorite beat based classes. It starts chill, ramps up super fast and then turns to Sensulates at the end. You’ll be sure to end a sweaty mess every time but you’ll feel amazing. Love doing the choreo on Squabble Up and TV Off kicks my butt every time.

Such a great heavyish weights class! I used 12 lb hand weights since that’s the heaviest I had, and those worked well. I probably could have gone heavier on the final set in the circuit, so I may need to invest in some 20 lb hand weights. Love short classes like this that pack a punch and work your whole body. Might do this again as a circuit 2-3 times through.

Ruth calls this class Power Abs. I call it 5 minute ab torture. It’s perfect for when you don’t have a lot of time but you still want to work yourself hard for the 5 minutes you do have.

I didn’t realize how tight my hips were until I did this class. I was so tight I was barely (if even) touching my blocks during those lunge stretches, but it still felt heavenly. Hip Bath is definitely the perfect title for. My hips feel like they’ve been bathed in oil (kind of like the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz), and my legs are feeling a bit like jello after those last few split and pigeon stretches, but in the best way.
