last month, i decided to torture myself and pick up a double shift at work today (6am-10:30pm). meaning, i had to do my morning movement before work 😭 so, short on time i chose: hip opener and center folding.

center-folding was a super tough one to complete within 15 minutes of waking up. i’m trying not to beat myself up about my form and the lack of sensation/burning in my core during it, but part of me feels like i “wasted” my time and harmed myself by completing it. i feel bad because i had to modify most of it.

despite it all, today i am going to try to show myself patience and kindness. though these feelings suck, it’s showing me that my body wants a different way to move during times like these.

my solution: maybe i can stick to beat-based/flowy type workouts during my mensies instead of classical pilates styled workouts.
